Description
The map does not allow you to select the whole park but my concern is about the whole park
Over the summer, during and since all the events, I have noticed the increasing amount of rubbish strewn all over the park - particularly in the long grass around the edges. The groundsmen do an amazing job keeping the bushes tidy, grass cut etc - it's awful to see all the litter dumped everywhere by event / park users. Some of the rubbish has been there for months - I know this because I walk my dog in the park everyday. What are you doing to address this?
Since the summer the number of rough sleepers in tents has increased significantly.
At the start of the summer there were about 4 tents in the park and today there are 17 - 3 which appeared since yesterday morning.
1. I would like to know what action is being taken currently to support people to to find a suitable alternative to sleeping in a tent in the park.
2. How many more tents will the council tollerate being erected in the park, given the increasing number over the past month?
3. Is the council aware of the significant rat issue in the park and particularly around these tents where people have to live?
4. What is the view of the council to the piles of rubbish that grow around SOME of the tents and how much of this will be tollerated?

I am not making this complaint about the rough sleeprs - they need support - but the park cannot be allowed decend into a tented city with rotting rubbish etc left lying around everywhere.
Finsbury park is such a well used and necessary green space for local residents and I haven't seen it in such an awful state since the 80's. What I think is particularly concerning is that some of the funds from all the events are not being used to properly maintain ALL areas of the park on a day to day basis. I have seen the improvements to the sports and fitness facilities and they are great but who wants to have to pick their way through trash to get to them?

I have read through all the actions you are taking around the park on the website so you do not need to repeat them in your response.
Thank you in anticipation for your response.
